The Week That Was: Week 12

We certainly thought the losing streak was about to end. However, the nightmare stretch is threatening to begin 2019 on a sour note.

A short week deserves a short recap.

The Fast Money Round

Thursday: Dallas Stars 2, Predators 0

Shot quantity > shot quality in this one. Kari Lehtonen hasn’t been good against the Predators, but Nashville’s unwillingness to shoot in high-danger areas helped him shut them out. Put another way: the Preds lost to a (bleeping) horse(bleep) team.

Saturday: New York Rangers 4, Predators 3

Goals were scored. They were even scored on the power play. But the defense couldn’t hold a lead and that should be a hallmark of this team. But then again, this team doesn’t have a hallmark right now.

This week’s grade

Your turn: Other than getting healthy, what’s your New Year’s resolution?
