To recap, last night’s 5-2 win over the Rangers was a bruiser. Alexei Emelin had more than one crushing hit, including a dangerous looking hit on Marc Staal. I thought he might get a call from DOPS today, but it turns out that Filip Forsberg will get that call instead.
Nashville’s Filip Forsberg will have a hearing today for interference on NY Rangers’ Jimmy Vesey.

Forsberg laid down a patented butt-check on Jimmy Vesey that left Vesey with a bloody face.
Here’s the hit:

Tell me you haven’t seen that exact hit from Forsberg about a thousand times without so much as a whistle. He’s completely stopped and all of Vesey’s (not Forsberg’s) momentum provides the force of the hit.
If Forbserg gets even a fine for this, let alone a game, it will be a travesty.
UPDATE:
Forberg has been suspended three games for interference by the Department of Player Safety and will be eligible to return on Saturday versus Montreal.
