Predators Host Baby Shower For Military Women | NewsChannel 5 Nashville
If all of the expecting Predators partners were there, that is quite a lot of babies-to-be in one place. Good on them for thinking of other moms-to-be during their own special times!

Nashville Predators 4, Buffalo Sabres 0: Preds Roll Behind Pekka Rinne’s 8th Shutout | On the Forecheck
ICYMI. Not a great game was the agreement, but it was a 4-0 shutout. #Pekka4Vezina

Filip Forsberg scored his 21st goal of the year, so it looks like he’s heating up again.

Bishop out at least two weeks for Stars |
Wow, Ben Bishop is the Dallas Stars’ version of Zach Parise....made of glass. Looks like Kari Lehtonen will carry the load down the stretch.

Remember when Patrik Laine said that he should have been number one in the draft?

It’s stunning to see how fast the Blackhawks have fallen | The Buffalo News
I must admit, I enjoyed the story at first, but now it's just downright uncomfortable. We really did break them (with help from Bowman and Q).

It’s time to make peace with the Minnesota Wild’s expansion decision | Hockey Wilderness
Try reading this with Nashville Predators’ names inserted. Also, note the comment about Vegas potentially flipping Eric Staal to the "center-starved" Nashville Predators. It's easy to sit back and judge these decisions now, but many who disagree have arguments based on today's facts, not those of last June. As Tony says, time to move on.

Hurricanes' Aho commits hooking penalty against Islanders' Aho |
Given they are both in the league, it had to happen sooner or later. However, with the populations of Finland and Sweden, what were the odds that two men (one from each country) with the same name make the NHL at the same time?

NHL Power Rankings: Predators stay at No. 1 as Blue Jackets surge into contention |
"Nashville has to be favored to return to the Stanley Cup Final, but Columbus is suddenly on fire." Yay us! Please stay focused team and don't let all of the predictions get in your heads.

NHL skating on thick ice with month-long sustainability drive | Climate Action Programme
"The National Hockey League (NHL) is building on its strong environmental reputation by dedicating an entire month to green initiatives." Good on you, NHL. Time to step up other sports leagues.

Fleury using patient approach to make impact with Hurricanes |
I like that the Carolina Hurricanes are taking a long term focus in developing their talent. I hope that this does not change under the new owner.

Should the NHL expand its Stanley Cup playoffs field? |
No. Non. Nein. Ei. Net. Nej. NO. What makes the last of the season so great is the battle for playoff spots. Also, single elimination (play-in) games have no place in hockey. The season is long enough and if you are a GM or Coach who consistently can't make the over 50% who get in - your job should be on the line.
