Despite some speculation that Eeli Tolvanen had already signed an entry level contract with the Predators earlier this week, General Manager David Poile made the official announcement today after Tolvanen was spotted leading stretches at practice.
GM David Poile says #Preds have signed Eeli Tovanen as of this morning.

Tolvanen’s season ended with Jokerit over the weekend, after his team was eliminated by CSKA in the Gagarin Cup Playoffs. He and Jokerit then terminated their two-year contract, with Tolvanen’s intention clearly being to sign in Nashville.
Then there were a bunch of tweets from Finnish reporters that he had already signed, followed by some coy sub-tweeting from various Preds media outlets—including from the team itself—but the long and short of it is that HE IS HERE and he can begin working his way into the lineup immediately.
The earliest we could see Tolvanen is Saturday, as Laviolette said he will not play tonight against the Sharks.
