With their final pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the Nashville Predators select goaltender Milan Kloucek at 213th overall.
Much like Karel Vejmelka, Kloucek has spent the past two seasons bouncing around the Czech circuit. In 2017-18, he appeared in 10 games for HC Dynamo Pardubice in the top Czech league and finished with a 2.25 GAA and a .925 SV%. Additionally, he appeared in 19 other games in the second Czech league and the Czech junior league.
Kloucek stands at 6’3” and 196 lbs and is an overager at 20-years-old. It’s not a bad idea to take a chance on someone a tad more developed that is similar to other netminding prospects in the system.
