Ryan Johansen is headed back to Nashville and Filip Forsberg heads back on September fifth. We’re getting close!

Smashville News:

Johansen: Kesler made a 'bit of a fool of himself' with tweet | TSN.ca
I would have rather attached Adam Vingan's original piece, but I haven't yet signed up for the Athletic and know many wouldn't be able to read it. It will be interesting to see how many of the "key" sports outlets begin to base their coverage on Athletic stories the way they do tweets now. I am very glad to see Ryan Johansen with a focus on bringing the playoff game earlier in the year.

Nashville Predators’ Top 25 Under 25: #15 Grant Mismash | On the Forecheck
ICYMI, another great piece from Eric. I want Grant Mismash to be called "Smash".

I couldn’t clip this article and it’s in Swedish but the translations are fun. Help me figure out what “it’s no snack” is supposed to mean. Both of the translators I used came up with that phrase.

Look out Nashville - here he comes!

Patience could lead to an even bigger payday for Jets’ Laine | TheHockeyNews
Remember when Patrik Laine said he should have been picked first in the draft? Is he waiting for Austin Matthews to sign so he can ask for $1 more? Risky to leave it too late with the year he had last year setting a high bar.

Parise, Suter set to play in Stars and Stripes Showdown Aug. 26 | NHL.com
What is Minnesota thinking letting these guys play in hockey games out of season? Zach Parise seems to break if you look at him sideways and Ryan Suter's last injury was inches away from being career ending. #riskybusiness

Hopefully other Finnish goaltenders follow suit. Is it possible to play Juuse Saros one planned non-elimination game in a playoff series or is that a stupid idea? I mean we rest Pekka Rinne every five or six games during the regular season and then expect he’ll go up to 28 straight games at a higher compete level without rest in the playoffs.
