Winnipeg Jets 5, Nashville Predators 1: Not the Greatest Night - On the Forecheck
Another Thursday night game...another let down. Bobby Misey has the recap of last night's game. If you DVR'd and plan to watch it--don't. Just delete it and pretend it was an off night (because the Preds were definitely off).

Wild trade Nino Niederreiter to Hurricanes for Victor Rask – ProHockeyTalk
With prices this low, how can you say no?! What can we get for a mildly concussed Miikka Salomäki on the trade market?

Flames settle longtime jersey debate with plans to honour Iginla
This is actually a decent debate. If you keep retiring numbers, eventually you'll run out of numbers (I know, I know...it'd take a loooong time). Of course, Jarome Iginla deserves to be honored in Calgary, but do programs like the Forever A Flame not serve the same purpose?

I know Predators fans are interested in these guys, so what would it take to land one of them?

Letter to My Younger Self | By Tim Shaw
SPOILER ALERT: Tim Shaw is not a hockey player. He played football for Tennessee Titans. I was fortunate enough to meet him during his playing days and left the encounter with a very high opinion of him. I started keeping up with his career and was devastated when I learned about his diagnosis. As ALS has recently taken the lives of some of my dearest students' parents, I saw this and immediately felt the need to share it with the Nashville Predators fan community. I apologize if this is deemed as too off-topic for this forum, but Tim Shaw continues be as incredibly inspirational now as he was on the field.
