The Predators took two points from Tampa Bay on Saturday and they’re back in town tonight to square off against old playoff foes.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Hawks made a trade with the Detroit Red Wings on Monday afternoon. Brendan Perlini had requested a trade from Chicago and will get a fresh start with Detroit.

Patrick Kane, as expected, leads the Hawks in points with 9 (3 goals, 6 assists). Dylan Strome has 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists), and Alex DeBrincat also has 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists).

Chicago acquired several new players in the offseason, including Olli Määttä, Alex Nylander, and Robin Lehner. Lehner has been a solid backup for the aging Corey Crawford, posting a .935 Sv% over five games.

The Blackhawks are 3-5-2, but they dominated the Kings on Sunday with a score of 5-1.

Nashville Predators

The Predators are back in town after a quick road trip to Tampa Bay. Juuse Saros nabbed his first win of the season, and Ryan Ellis won the game in overtime.

Filip Forsberg and Matt Duchene both skated with the team on Monday, though Forsberg was wearing a non-contact jersey. We will see Duchene back in the lineup tonight. Expect Pekka Rinne back in net.

The Predators are 7-3-1. The team has finally re-signed captain Roman Josi to a brand new 8-year deal.
