Bobby’s Bait: Five Players the Predators Should Target Before the Trade Deadline - On the Forecheck
I think Bobby's written a great article here. I, more than anyone I know, am constantly checking twitter to see if some kind of deal has been made. Given his argument about the long-term open window and the parameters of staying out of a bidding war, he's really sold me on Ryan Dzingel and Jakob Silfverberg. I like the way they'd solidify the lines without having to give up too much and looking at the cap hit they'd carry, the Preds could handle both of them. I wonder what we'd have to give up?

Buyer on a budget? Here are five forward targets worth considering - TheHockeyNews
Some repeat appearances from Bobby's article with the addition of Micheal Ferland, the current darling of Predators trade talk. Also mentioned, and piquing my interest, is Brian Boyle. Solid 4th liner, playoff experience galore, penalty killer...I like it...I love it?

Predators return seeking consistency following eight-day break - TSN.ca
Well, for the sake of all that is good and right in the world, let's hope they get off to a good start. I can't wait to see the changes they've made to the power play.

Sorry to send you to this terrible website, but Peter Laviolette's comments here are important. This is no longer a hockey issue. This is about saving a life.

Muzzin skates alongside Rielly in first practice with Maple Leafs - Sportsnet.ca
You know, you need a right handed defender, so you go get left handed Jake Muzzin because he was available. Nice that they let him practice on his natural side, but I don't think that'll last long. But, you do you, Toronto Maple Leafs.

What the 2018 NHL trade deadline shows us about first-round pick values - Sportsnet.ca
Interesting look at the values of last year's trades. I really think Paul Stastny was the best deadline acquisition last year. It definitely showed in the second round of the playoffs where he was noticeable against the Predators. Really makes the Ryan Hartman trade look bad. Of course, his contract remains short-term and friendly if things don't improve.

That Carter Hart is so hot right now. The Philadelphia Flyers are on a bit of a roll. Does this change their trade deadline plans?

I wonder if the Dallas Stars are just going to make me angry in the postseason this year.
