Goodness this summer has been long. I’m even watching TV baseball. Bonus - I’ve almost got my library unpacked. Is it hockey yet?

2018-2019 Nashville Predators Player Reviews: Nick Bonino | On the Forecheck
"Ep. 3: The One Where Bryan Tries to Set Aside His Grudge" How do you think Nick Bonino did? I gave him a solid B. As Brian points out, his results benefited from luck and linemates, but the results were pretty good!

Though our house was cleared of dog stuff shortly after SashaDog passed, I have not been able to wash the “boop” marks of the back door glass. Here is a “boop” from Lord Banner of Smashville to remind us how sweet they are.

Dallas Stars questions: goaltending, aging, and new faces | ProHockeyTalk
"These factors can make or break 2019-20 for Dallas." They seem to have a lot of older guys that I never realized were that old.

3 Winnipeg Jets with Something to Prove in 2019-20 | The Hockey Writers
Wouldn't we add a certain Finnish sniper who is not much on defense? Oh wait, he's a top 20 NHL.com winger.

Who's the best fit for Wild? Hextall, Chiarelli, Waddell leading GM candidates | Sporting News
I wasn't going to include this because it's 95% rehash. But this is an example of something I detest in journalism. Read the headline carefully. Mid-way into the rehash, this "At this point, Hextall and Chiarelli aren't considered front-runners for the job as Minnesota continues to look at other options.". When I cooled down, I inferred that the only lead they had (Waddell has extended with the Hurricanes) was that they were the first to interview. Feel free not to click on this click bait.

Super Slow Mo: Best Breakaways | NHL.com
The one we've been waiting for. Here we go! Gonna be lots of goalie humiliation in this one.....apparently a lot of slashing too. Kuzy eagle!!! WHERE IS VIKTOR ARVIDSSON? OR FILIP FORSBERG? OR ROCCO GRIMALDI? Wait, a Nashville Predator! Ryan Hartman? Really? Oooh, hi Viktor Arvidsson! That's what I'm talking about. Ah Pekka RInne. You might have been able to get that one. Hockey Hugs! We should've had more highlights in this one.

What exactly are Matt Cullen's responsibilities in his new job? | DK Pittsburgh Sports
OK. I've never thought this before, but doesn't Matt Cullen look like an older Craig Smith in this picture? I'm not sure this piece clears anything up for me. Also, the little I thought I understood, I don't see how he can do from Minnesota. But, Cully!
