SHEESH. So here’s a wild story...

Former NHL player (and forward for the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team) Mark Pavelich allegedly attacked his neighbor with a metal pole, causing “obvious disfigurement” of his leg, a bruised kidney, two cracked ribs and a fractured vertebra.

Pavelich was reportedly out fishing with the victim beforehand, and believes the man had spiked his beer, which led to the attack.

Werenski is looking for a three-year contract with a cap hit in the $5 million range from the Columbus Blue Jackets.”

I’m sure the Jackets would like a little bit more term in a bridge deal (especially given that Werenski is still only 22 years old), but the dollar amount seems fair.
