Tonight’s recap is going to be observation-style.

  • Welcome back, Ryan Ellis.
  • Ticking closer to Monday’s trade deadline...
  • Early power plays for Chicago are not a good thing.
  • Pekka Rinne has been very good early on the penalty kill.
  • Patrick Kane is such an effortless guy. Incredible skill, yet not very much loved by the Predators. [Ed.: Or anyone.]
  • Oh Pekka, what ya doing?
  • A penalty shot? Seriously?
  • Stuffed by Pekka.
  • Stop taking penalties.
  • JoFA is reunited. Does it feel good? Ask me later.
  • A very good defensive recovery by Mattias Ekholm. I like it a lot.
  • Duncan Keith actually throws Kyle Turris to the ice...Nashville power play.
  • Mattias Ekholm makes it 1-0 for Nashville! When Ekholm joins the rush, good things often happen. He has a wicked wrist shot that’s under-used and under appreciated.
  • Arvi Hustle=another power play for Nashville.
  • Another penalty to Duncan Keith. Not sure why that wasn’t a penalty shot...the stick poke from Filip Forsberg on Brandon Saad was way less blatant.
  • 20 miles, 20 smiles.
  • Does Colin Blackwell have tape on his skates? He’s wiped out a ton tonight.
  • So many penalties.
  • What a save, Pekka Rinne!!!!
  • OMG PEKKA AGAIN
  • After video review, no goal.
  • But the Hawks tie it up anyway...from Alex DeBrincat.
  • HOLY PEKKA RINNE
  • Ryan Ellis really hasn’t missed a beat tonight.
  • Breathe. To overtime we go.
  • Chicago takes two points in OT, Nashville will secure one point.
