Second Preds-Stars game canceled due to extreme weather

New, comments

Stay safe out there, folks.

NHL: Nashville Predators at Dallas Stars Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

In case you missed the announcement this morning, the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars will once again not be meeting tonight, as widespread power outages due to winter storms in Texas continue. If you’re in Texas, or anywhere else suffering power loss, best wishes and stay safe (here are some tips for staying warm if your power goes out).

The NHL’s statement is as follows:

After further discussions with Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson’s office, tonight’s game between the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center is also being postponed due to the continued power outages in the Dallas area caused by severe weather.

A make-up date will be announced as soon as it can be confirmed.

Also, that means if you’re watching a Preds game airing tonight, it is a rerun. (Anyone watch whatever disaster last night’s rerun was?) Hopefully it’s a more fun rerun than last time.
