Eric Nystrom Placed On Waivers For Buyout Purposes
General Manager David Poile made it no secret he was looking to either trade Eric Nystrom or buy him out; the latter it is.
Nashville Predators winger Eric Nystrom has been placed on buyout waivers according to TSN's Bob McKenzie:
Mason Raymond (CGY) and Eric Nystrom (NSH) on buyout waivers.

Nystrom technically could be picked up off of waivers by another team, but no team is going to want to pick up the last year of his contract at $3 million.
Nystrom tweeted this on May 20:
Goodbye Nashville. ❤️
— Eric Nystrom (@enystrom23) May 20, 2016
The 33-year-old scored seven goals in 46 games during the 2015-16 campaign before his season was cut short after breaking his foot courtesy of a Shea Weber slap shot. Nystrom's best season in a Nashville sweater came in 2013-14 where he lit the lamp 15 times and added six helpers in 79 games.
Predators' fans will never forget the night Nystrom scored four goals against the Flames...and Nashville lost the game.
Nystrom is a fantastic guy in the locker room, he's not bad on the 1's and 2's and it will be interesting to see if the newlywed will land on another NHL roster this upcoming season.
