I think what makes me the most nervous about this news is that players were supposed to be quarantining in preparation for a return to play. However, it seems that as places have started lifting restrictions on gatherings and businesses, people have become very cavalier in their attitudes toward it. Then you get this situation. So now, we are returning to play (albeit in small groups) right as the incubation period for Memorial Day infections should be ripe for spreading of the disease. All of the quarantining and careful preparation for hockey’s return could all be for nothing if players start showing symptoms early on.
