Friday’s Dump & Chase: Road-Ice Advantage?

Nashville Predators News

Nashville Predators 3, Calgary Flames 2 Recap: Preds Lean Heavily on Granlund, Saros For A Strong Finnish – On the Forecheck
Bryan had the pleasure of recapping the game. Normally, I’d say “If you didn’t see the game, DON’T WATCH IT! Read the recap instead,” but this time, the Predators won the game and it’s worth watching. However, if you watch it, you’ll miss Bryan’s expert-level dad jokes and some good tweets. Maybe, one day, I’ll get to recap a win.

This video is a little older, but they played it on the broadcast last night. I’m extremely surprised at how chatty Mikael Granlund is during warm-ups. It reminds me of a kid on the first day of school when he asks Matt Irwin about his favorite drink.

Campbell, Clifford traded to Maple Leafs by Kings
The Maple Leafs are desperately seeking someone that can stop pucks. Maybe Duncan, the walrus from the Geico commercial, is still available. If the Leafs can find away to keep him from going “sleepies”, they may have a solid chance.

Hunt, Fiala boost Wild in win against Canucks
Kevin Fiala, Brad Hunt, and Ryan Hartman are tearing it up for the Minnesota Pred…I mean, the Minnesota Wild. It doesn’t help that they’re on the Predators’ heels anyway, but the ex-Preds doing the work makes it a little harder to take.

Trade Bait: the first domino has fallen; who will be the next goalie moved? – TheHockeyNews
I, for one, hope the Predators don’t get involved in any kind of nonsense that involves moving Connor Ingram. Ingram is a great prospect that would probably command a decent return, but he’s the best goalie prospect the Preds have had in a long time…this isn’t the time to lose him.

The Wraparound: the ongoing broadcast conundrum – The Ice Garden
Excellent points here. The way women’s hockey is covered (when it is covered) needs to change. These athletes should be known for their own merits and accomplishments and not by which male they are related to.
