Preview: Nashville Predators vs. Detroit Red Wings 3/25/21: It’s Not Much

Well, it’s certainly been an interesting several hours since Nashville defeated Detroit on Tuesday evening. If you’ve been living under a rock, here’s a brief recap.

Nashville Predators

Goals from Mathieu Olivier and Mikael Granlund sealed a neat little victory for the Predators on Tuesday evening. Roman Josi returned from Injured Reserve and Juuse Saros performed spectacularly in net. Just check out this video package of his saves:

Saros’s mustache is awful, but he’s 4-1-0 in his last 5 starts and he’s been absolutely incredible since his return from a suspected concussion. Saros is once again throwing the team on his back and sprinting toward the playoffs.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings probably aren’t too happy after Tuesday’s demoralizing loss. Thomas Greiss was pretty solid for the Wings, but the rest of the team appeared to be on several different pages. Detroit had several power play opportunities, too.

Greiss would be backed up by Calvin Pickard tonight if he starts…or we could see Pickard in net.

Reasons to Watch

  • No hot mics, please
  • More Olivier goals, please
  • Juuse’s mustache
  • I’m kinda warming up to the Reverse Retro jerseys. What about y’all?
  • The newly dubbed “Herd Line” of Colton Sissons, Mathieu Olivier, and Yakov Trenin continues to be impactful….hits and goals, “yes sir!!!!” (ICYMI, the Preds’ broadcast team nicknamed them that because they’re Colton Sissons, Yakov Trenin, and Mathieu “the Biloxi Bull” Olivier.)/
