Preview: Nashville Predators vs. Chicago Blackhawks 4/3/21: Demons
Afternoon hockey.
Nashville Predators
Well, with all the injuries...recalling Tommy Novak is big. It’s no secret I am a Novak fan. I don’t expect him in the lineup, but the recall is big. Will we see Rem Pitlick in the lineup today? They both deserve some playing time.
The #Preds have recalled forwards Michael McCarron and Mathieu Olivier, as well as defenseman Jeremy Davies, from the taxi squad. Forward Tommy Novak has been recalled to the taxi squad from Chicago (AHL).

Someone in the heavens is mad at the Preds. The injuries keep racking up. That’s very unfortunate for Alex Carrier.
#Preds defenseman Alexandre Carrier is out 3-5 weeks with a lower-body injury. Defenseman Mark Borowiecki has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury (week-to-week).

Chicago Blackhawks
The Hawks lost their last game to the Hurricanes. They’re battling the Preds for the last Central playoff spot, so I’ll expect this game to be feisty.
Chicago re-acquired Vinnie Hinostroza from Florida yesterday. I don’t expect him in the lineup, though.
It’s impressive that the Hawks have the third best power play in the League, clipping along at a very nice 26.7%.
From our friends at Second City Hockey, here’s their projected lineup:
DeBrincat — Dach — Kane
Kubalik — Kampf — Kurashev
Janmark — Suter — Strome
Wallmark — Soderberg — Carpenter
Keith — Michell
Zadorov — Murphy
de Haan — Boqvist
Lankinen
Subban
