Before you were a functioning human on Sunday morning, Team Sweden walked all over Team Austria in their preliminary game at the 2015 IIHF World Championship. Sweden ended the game as a 6-1 victor, powered by a four-point night from Filip Fosberg, including three gorgeous goals.
Prince Filip opened the scoring with a slick wrist shot from in between the tops of the circles that beat Rene Swette on the blocker side. How about that defense?

But that was just a warmup. Thanks to some beautiful puck work by Loui Eriksson, Forsberg waltzes down the middle of the ice with speed, curls around an Austrian defender and roofs in a filthy backhand to put the Swedes up 4-0.

Finally, Forsberg would complete the hat trick by completely blowing through the Austrian defense and creating a breakaway for himself. Once he was in alone, Swette had no chance.
The four-point outing shot Forsberg up the leader board, and he’s now tied with Russia’s Artemi Panarin for 3rd most points in the tournament so far.
Team Sweden stayed undefeated in the preliminary round with the victory, and they lead Group A with 5 points. They will look to add to that total when they face Latvia on Monday at 9:15, AM Nashville time.
