Kevin Fiala scores his first North American goal with the Milwaukee Admirals
The first-round pick was one on one with the opposing netminder. You can guess how it turned out.
Kevin Fiala scored his first goal with the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday night during a 4-1 win against the Rockford Ice Hogs.
With the Ice Hogs leading 1-0 in the 2nd period at BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, Mark Van Guilder shot beauty of a pass straight up the middle of the ice to Fiala. Uncontested against goaltender Michael Leighton, Fiala deked to his backhand and roofed his shot high glove side. It was gorgeous.

For good measure, he added a power play marker in the third period. Zach Budish and Viktor Stalberg also scored in the game.
Fiala now has three points in six games in the AHL, and seems to be making his mark. He endeared himself to Predators fans with his showing in training camp, and downing the Chicago Blackhawks' affiliate is sure to win over the hearts of many. Here's to many more, Kevin.
