Beneath the Ice (S3:E6) A Return | NHL.com
In this episode, Pekka Rinne cooks a dinner and Ryan Johansen spots a booger.

The Resurgence of Austin Watson
As we discuss on the Predcast (coming out later today), this is more a surgence than a resurgence. But yeah, kudos to Watty!

Juuse Saros continues to gain Predators’ trust
One particular SBNation blog trusted Juuse Saros a loooong time ago. If only that blog had roster control!

Wild win eighth in a row vs. Blackhawks | NHL.com
The Wild have won four straight games and eight straight against the Blackhawks. This joke is wearing thin–what the heck is going on in Minnesota?

Video: One of the more unusual goals Patrick Kane has scored versus Wild
I’ve watched this a few times and I have yet to figure out what is so unusual about it. The puck spinning on its edge is not unusual. This looks like a hockey goal to me.

More bad news for the Bolts: Callahan out four weeks with lower-body injury | ProHockeyTalk

Taylor Hall with a pleasant return to Western Canada: 2 goals and an assist in three games against Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.

Justin Schultz at home with Penguins
Unsurprisingly, players usually play better when they are surrounded by other better players. Schultz is not an elite defender by any means, but he’s a fine player. At the same time, he would probably only really succeed on this roster. I can’t blame the Oilers for not sticking with him.

Report: Coyotes’ Doan would consider waiving no-trade clause for right fit | The Hockey News
It seems odd to want a 40 year old winger for your playoff run, but I think Shane Doan would be a good fit. Move Craig Smith or Colin Wilson, put Doan on a line with Mike Fisher, and gain some veteran leadership to the core of your team. Maybe even try him on a line with Forsberg just to see what happens. I could see him putting up 20 points in 30 games.
