Plus, if they do trade Ekholm and others for Duchene, they might be riding on thin ice on the backend for the rest of this season and the next. This has always been an odd rule to me. I mean, I suppose it's a safety issue, but you are willingly letting the players punch each other in the face and then punishing them for having a wardrobe malfunction in the interest of safety.
