I find this really bizarre. Normally, CHL players are barred from participating in the NCAA because they are considered to have played “professional” hockey. This isn’t a name, image, or likeness issue, so I’m confused (and curious) about what was the exception that let him in.

University of St. Thomas women’s coach Joel Johnson will coach the US Women this winter. No offense to Joel, but I still don’t understand Mark Johnson has only coached the women once, in 2010. He’s coached most of the team at the University of Wisconsin at some point in their careers, and his success at Wisconsin is unparalleled.
