Monday's Dump & Chase: Perspectives
It's the details that make the difference.
Not Hockey
The house I grew up in was very small. I remember looking up on the county tax website that the square footage was only around 860. It was tiny, and with a family of four... it was pretty scattered. You had book shelves and pictures and a piano, and all sorts of STUFF... if you weren't used to it, it would stress you out easily. The living room was the worst. There were so many items and images fighting over your attention that made the room feel even smaller. But when you grow up in that environment, you get used to it.
There's a saying decorators, designers, and developers (alliteration was not intentional) use: "If everything is special, nothing is special". And that's very accurate when it comes to your perspective. After a while of living in that house when I was older, I got used to it (again). But looking back... it was a mess. Sometimes a blank wall is kinda nice.
These days I don't have very much on the wall, except some paint and a television and maybe some art. Why? The art is special. If I'm watching something, it needs my attention more than 19 still photographs. It's all about what you get used to. We all create spectrums of what our mind declares to be normal, and our perspectives help us identify what is and is not.
All of that to say, if you live a calm life with structure and balance you can appreciate the details in what you see... much like this gentleman from Laurel County, Kentucky.
Deputies: Laurel Co. DUI crash led to bee attack | WKYT.com
Let's dive right into this.
- It's not nice to be a vulture when someone has had a hardship come about, such as an automobile accident. This upstanding citizen had a very valid reason for being outside his house and able to observe the commotion.
- The amount of detail he was able to recite puts his facts beyond reproach.
- It's spelled "squalling". I looked it up.
- I was not able to confirm the mugshots
- Yes, I tried to find them.
- The low intensity the man uses to describe someone "who was just high" must mean that this may be common out there. That's fascinating.
- The Tracker probably still runs.
It's the space between the notes that makes the music. And that gentleman has it figured out. Bless you.
