I agree it’s important, and I don’t think the coaches that tear players down are making good choices, but I just don’t know how much that emotional connection, or the respect from player to coach, matters if a coach can’t, well, coach. (Not necessarily saying Malhotra can’t, just that acting like his coaching is all about his lunch-pail likeability is…hm.)
