Moses’ name is the biggest on there. It’s a bit of a shock, but it also isn’t a surprise to anyone who has seen him play throughout the preseason. While he was signed for a cool million to hopefully boost Nashville’s secondary and tertiary scoring, there were plenty of caveats that came with it. He’s an undersized, 26-year-old getting his first taste of NHL action, and it seemed like a bit too much for him right now.

Hopes were high for him to fit with the team, but it looks like he’ll have some time with the Admirals to get used to playing in North America again. Don’t give up on him making his mark on the NHL just yet.

The Predators’ roster is now at 25, with one more preseason game and eight days to decide on the last two cuts.

From the team:

Nashville, Tenn. (September 30, 2015) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Wednesday that the club has assigned forwards Steve Moses and Colton Sissons, as well as goaltender Juuse Saros, to Milwaukee (AHL).

Nashville’s training camp roster is now at 25 players – 15 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders. An updated roster is attached.

The Nashville Predators play their preseason finale on Saturday when they travel to Nationwide Arena to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets (6 p.m. CT).
