While today was mostly about the free agents who will help make up the 2013-2014 edition of the Nashville Predators, fans also have a chance next week to check out the players who are on their way to the big leagues, at the 2013 Development Camp. Today, the Preds released a roster of 20 forwards, seven defensemen and four goaltenders who in various stages of the path from amateur hockey to the NHL.
Eight of the team’s 10 draft picks from last weekend (including 4th overall pick Seth Jones) are expected to attend, as well as Filip Forsberg, the 2012 1st-round pick which the team acquired in trade for Martin Erat at the deadline. The Preds’ 1st-round pick from 2010, Austin Watson, is also on the list.
