If you’ve been on Twitter recently, you may have seen the #PredsMotB hashtag floating around. Predators Money on the Board is a charity effort I started very recently with two goals in mind:
1. Get more people involved in raising money for the 365 Fund.
2. Have fun doing it.
If you don’t know what the 365 Fund is, I’ve written about it before. You can check that out here. The concept of putting money on the board comes from hockey, although it’s usually something that happens in the locker room. If you’re interested, you can read about that here. Here’s how we’ve put it all together to make donating to the 365 Fund (and watching the Nashville Predators) more exciting.

I don’t run a Money on the Board game during every game, usually just one a week. I always make those announcements over on twitter with the account @PredsMotB. This week, Friday night’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks is going to be the next Money on the Board game. Once the game is announced, you head over to the Pledge Form, which is linked here. Using the form, choose the players and events you’d like to pledge for and choose the amount. Here are some examples:
1. You can choose Roman Josi and Points. Then, say you want to pledge $5.00 per Roman Josi point.

2. You can choose Tanner Jeannot and Hits. Then, say you want to pledge $2.00 per Tanner Jeannot hit.
3. You can also choose a “Full Season” option if you want to make things interesting all season long.
4. I’ve also added some other options such as “Swedes”, “Finns”, “Youth”, and more. You can choose just about any stat that shows up in a box score.

Once you submit your pledge, SHARE it on social media using #PredsMotB. I also recommend you challenge your friends to join you because the more, the merrier.
When the game ends, you can add up your own total or wait for an email from me. Then, you go to the donation page and make your donation. Of course, when you make that donation, use #PredsMotB so I can keep track of it.
I would like to go ahead and point out that the donation link is a direct link from the Predators Foundation. The money goes directly to the Foundation and 100% of the donation goes directly to the 365 Fund.
So far, Preds Money on the Board has raised over $800 this season. We’re just getting started and we hope to do more this season and then really get things going all season long next season.
