Nashville Predators News: Filip Forsberg called up from Milwaukee

Tonight in Chicago we’ll get a chance to see both of Nashville’s most dynamic offensive prospects in action, as Filip Forsberg has been called up from Milwaukee.

This, from the Preds:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Filip Forsberg from Milwaukee (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Forsberg, 19 (8/13/94), has posted five points (1g-4a) in 12 games with Nashville, and 27 points (10g-17a) in 37 games with the Admirals in 2013-14. The Ostervala, Sweden native also participated in the 2014 World Junior Championships, earning Most Valuable Player and Best Forward honors while helping Sweden to a silver medal (4g-8a-12pts, 7gp), his third consecutive medal at the tournament (2013: silver, 2012: gold).

Josh Cooper has been a busy tweeter this morning, sharing news that Nick Spaling should be able to return to the lineup, but Patric Hornqvist is back in Nashville with his wife following the birth of their first child.

Oh, and it sounds like Michael Del Zotto’s going to be scratched again. Barry Trotz sounds less than enthused about his game.

*sigh*
