Nashville Predators News: Rich Clune Signs 2-Year Contract Extension
The Nashville Predators continued their trend of locking up depth players to long-term contracts by inking winger Rich Clune to an extension which will keep him in Smashville until at least the summer of 2016.
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Rich Clune to a two-year, $1.7 million contract that starts after the 2013-14 season. He will make $850,000 in both 2014-15 and 2015-16.
Clune's effort level on the ice, his personal story of addiction recovery and his Twitter escapades have made many fans in Nashville, and it looks like those fans will be able to cheer him on for a long time to come.
