Nashville Selects Chase McLane 209th Overall

In the seventh round of today’s NHL Entry Draft, with the second of two picks acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers, the Nashville Predators selected forward Chase McLane from the Tri-City Storm of the USHL. Consistent with their trend all draft, McLane is another overager in his final year of draft eligibility. The 20-year old center played just 18 games for the Storm this season, scoring five goals and 16 points.

McLane will head to Penn State this fall, making him the team’s third college-bound selection in this year’s selection. I wasn’t able to catch McLane on film this season, so I won’t speak to his game yet, but I’ll have video analysis in the coming days.
