Wednesday afternoon, the Predators announced that they will be rocking their gold buckets for all home games this season.
The Nashville Predators will now sport their Gold helmets during each home game at Bridgestone Arena during the 2016-17 season, replacing the navy helmets as the bucket of choice during home contests. What began last season as a promotion on Saturday home games has now been expanded, as the Preds continue to grow their unique brand built around Gold.
“As we grow the Gold throughout the whole community, it’s even more important to continue what we did on the ice with Golden Saturdays into all of our home games. The most integral part to our brand is Gold, and we’re going to display it as often as we possible can,” Nashville Predators President and CEO Sean Henry said.
We will all miss you, blue helmet.
This news necessarily doesn’t come as a big surprise as the team has made it no secret that gold is THE color of the franchise. The blue bucket, gold jersey and blue pants was a really good look however.
