Nashville Predators vs. San Jose Sharks Preview: Frustrations Rise Again

The Predators lost another frustrating loss against the Flyers on Thursday night. We all know this story, and I am sure most of us are tired of hearing it. So let’s just dive right in to this thing.

The San Jose Sharks

The Sharks are doing shark things this season. What that means is that they right in the thick of things in the playoff picture. Year in and year out, they always find a way to compete for a spot in the playoffs. This season is no difference for this team.

Their success has been happening because of two main guys. Brent Burns and Joe Pavelski. They both are on top of the leader board on the team for points. They also represented the Sharks well in the All Star game last weekend. They have also had some help from a couple a grizzled veterans in Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau. These two guys are three and four, respectively, on the team in points. They have had a nice resurgence this season that has really helped the Sharks out.

Another reason why the Sharks have been successful this year in their depth in scoring. They have six players who have scored ten or more goals so far. They also lead the Pacific Division in goals scored. They are getting it done on the offensive side of things while other teams have struggled in that aspect.

With the Predators struggling on defense all year long for the most part, the Sharks are going to look to jump on them quick and often. This could be a long night for Nashville if the Sharks get on the board early.
