Pekka Rinne announced as King Clancy Trophy nominee

The Nashville Predators announced on Monday that Pekka Rinne is the team’s nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

The 2018 Vezina Trophy winner is certainly one of the most beloved Predators, and his on and off-ice leadership makes him the perfect King Clancy Memorial Trophy nominee. As a co-founder of the 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund and supporter of several other charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Rinne continues to impact the Nashville community. Over $3 million has been donated to the 365 Fund since its creation.

Most recently, Rinne became a big supporter of the Feed the Frontline initiative as part of the ongoing pandemic response in middle Tennessee. In short, Rinne is one of the biggest supporters of the largest Predators charitable funds and foundations.

Rinne’s volunteerism and financial support of these organizations and his impact on and off the ice in Nashville make him an ideal candidate for the 2020 King Clancy Memorial Trophy.
