That sound you heard at about 8:30 p.m. Central time was the city of Nashville collectively dropping their jaws at Roman Josi’s incredible goal.
Trailing 3-2, Josi collected a cleared puck in the neutral zone, skated it past the blue line, and completely turned Erik Karlsson inside out with a beauty of a dangle. Pretty sure Karlsson’s brain had to shut down and reset. After that, there was nothing between the Swiss Olympian and Craig Anderson, and Josi deposited it behind him.
Holy. Freaking. Crap.
Karlsson made up for his embarrassment three minutes later, when he scored on Pekka Rinne, but he’ll be watching himself frozen on the ice on all the highlight reels tonight.
