Roman Josi named to Europe's 2016 World Cup of Hockey roster
The Swiss defenseman will be one of the biggest pieces on the team.
Team Europe just got a whole lot more handsome.
Roman Josi will be representing Switzerland and the Nashville Predators as the best hockey players in Europe combine to take on the world in Toronto.

Glancing at the defenders on the list, Josi is the cream of their crop with apologies to Zdeno Chara. Big Z definitely has the better resume, and was probably better at his apex, but he's dropped off in recent years. However, a top three of Josi, Chara and Andrej Sekera isn't anything to scoff at, especially considering any of those three could be paired together. (For my money, we should expect Josi/Chara.)
Europe will rely heavily on him to help anyway they can, and with the cabal of nations assembled they may be one of the wild cards of the tournament. They're probably not expected to go very far, but they can't be immediately counted out either. That makes for some entertaining hockey.
