Chris Drury was named general manager on Friday of the United States men's ice hockey team that will compete at the 2021 IIHF World Championship. Nashville Predators general manager David Poile will be part of the Team Advisory Group, alongside several other league and team executives.

The Minnesota Wild returned to practice Friday after a nine-day shutdown because of NHL COVID-19 protocols. Sixteen players practiced yesterday, including former Predator Kevin Fiala. The recently-departed Nick Bonino is one of twelve Wild players still unavailable due to inclusion on the COVID-19 protocol.
