Saturday’s Dump & Chase: Our Preds’ Heads Are Falling Off!

I don’t know why but whenever I think about my frustration with the start to this season my mind goes straight to this scene from Dumb and Dumber:

In all seriousness, it’s too early to get too down about it but the Preds dropping three straight early still isn’t fun to experience as a fan. It doesn’t get any easier tonight as the Predators go up against the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins tonight. All we can hope is Craig Smith and Ryan Johansen had a 24 hour virus and are being IVed as we speak. Keep an eye on the AHL transaction list and Twitter to see if the Preds make any call ups.

The Preds (outside of their powerplay) have gotten off to a cold start this season. Losing Johansen and Smith to sickness in the first period of last night’s game didn’t help in the slightest.

NHL set up for slew of season-changing goalie moves | New York Post
I’m really excited to see what happens in Pittsburgh and Tampa where they will have to choose between their tried and (somewhat, in the case of Fleury) true goaltender and their young up and coming potential starts. That’s a drama in and of itself.
