Update: Shea Weber leaves game with lower body injury

Shea Weber left Game 2 against the Chicago Blackhawks and will not return.

At 10:48 of the second period, Weber collided with Brandon Saad in the corner. Weber appeared to be in discomfort and gingerly skated to the bench.

This is not good. More updates as we get them.

1:33 p.m. – The team has announced that Weber will not travel to Chicago.

That’s not good. Not good at all. The Predators have the defensive depth to weather the storm, but losing their captain during two critical games at the United Center is tough.
