So Long, Bon Voyage, Goodbye! Sort of.

So this is it, my friends…it’s time for me to step aside as your (probably favorite) co-managing editor. My regular job as an Entertainment Industry Big Shot™ requires my full focus, so I just won’t have the time to run the day-to-day any longer. I will, however, remain on as an occasional contributor…I just won’t be writing or managing the Dump & Chase, posting to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, hanging out on Slack, moderating the comments, or answering emails and phone calls. Those duties (and a bunch of others we didn’t tell him about) will fall to my dear friend Dan Bradley, who will take over my slot. You know him well, but make sure to hit him up on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, or catch him on Slack. Or email. Or in the comments. Maybe get him to start a Pinterest page. You get the picture.

While I’m not totally going away, I will be taking a bit of a summer break, so I want to say a few things on the way out. First and foremost, thanks to Dirk Hoag for giving me the opportunity to write for him, and then trusting me to help take over. Your advice and support have been much appreciated, and it was a pleasure to work with you.

Thanks to Jon for being such a great partner and friend through this process. We didn’t really know each other when we started this, but I couldn’t have picked a better partner to work with if I tried.

To our team of writers…Dan, George, Jeremy, Caroline, Alex, Nick, Anish, Zeke, Braden and Bryant…thanks for giving us your best every time out. You guys are all smart, funny, and just all-around awesome. I look forward to joining you again soon.

A HUGE thank you everyone from the local media who reached out and spent time with us when they had absolutely no reason or obligation to do so…Josh Cooper, Willy Daunic, Pete Weber and Terry Crisp. Your time was appreciated more than you know.

Thanks to Crazy Charlie and Jake Wylde from WNSR for having me on the air, and I hope I didn’t ruin your show too much.

While we’re at it, I’d like to also thank Kevin Wilson and Alexis Witman from the Predators. They answered every email and returned every phone call from us, and I can’t think of a single instance where they told us “no”. They were extremely helpful and extended access to us at every opportunity.

If you’ve gotten this far, then thanks to you, the reader as well. As a regular to the site, you’re clearly a very discerning, intelligent consumer of media, and it’s been an honor to write for you over these last couple of years.

In closing, I’d just like to say I’m extremely proud of how this site has been run over the last year or so. Yes, I’ve written some stuff that was dumb or ill-advised, but sometimes I say dumb and ill-advised things. I wouldn’t go back and change a single word. Even the misspelled ones.

So that’s all I got folks…have a great summer and I hope to see you in the fall!
