Elliotte Friedman says the Hurricanes might also be interested, which is a solid mark in Honka's favor. He's been such a weird case the last few years--excellent on paper, struggling on the ice and distrusted by coaches, still excellent on paper. Bad or unfavorable deployment can make any player struggle, of course; it'll be interesting to see if a fresh start helps Honka or if he is what he's looked to Stars staff to be.
