The Nashville Predators select Jachym Kondelik at 111th overall

After trading out of the third round, the Nashville Predators select center Jachym Kondelik 111th overall in the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

The 18-year-old was born in Hannover, Germany but represents the Czech Republic internationally.

Kondelik has spent the past two seasons with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL and has scored 23 goals and 49 points in 87 total games.  He has also played 21 international games in the past two years and finished with 4 goals and 17 points.

Kondelik stands at 6’6” and 227 lbs.  He is a naturally talented passer with good hands.  He has battled injury the past two seasons, but could be a dominant player down the lineup if he takes more advantage of his size.

Kondelik is committed to the University of Connecticut next season joining Preds’ prospect Tomas Vomacka.
