Well look what arrived in the mail! It looks like OTF is a Finalist for the Toast of Music City’s Best Blog category for the second straight year (the winners will be announced on Thursday, September 12th). Last year we took 3rd place, so it’s great to know that we’ve done at least as well this time around as well.
And for those of you wondering, the Nashville Scene’s Best of Nashville voting runs through September 11.

Thanks to all of you for your support of this site, which I hope grows to be bigger & better in the upcoming season. Whether you’re a stats geek or just “watch the games”, whether you believe this team is primed to win the Stanley Cup or are just happy to have professional hockey in Nashville and don’t care about the standings, I hope there’s a home for you here and that you’re welcome to join the conversation around not just the Predators, but the entire NHL.
Thanks also go to the OTF writing crew, most especially Jason Zito for so ably taking the Dump & Chase duties off my shoulders over the last few months. The plan is for that to free me up to get back into doing more video blogging, stats stuff & commentary on what should be a fascinating 2013-2014 NHL season.
