The Predators started the game hot but were unable to convert on their early chances, ultimately getting shutout by their Western Conference foes. Nashville outshot Vancouver 13-3 midway through the second period, but the Nucks bounced back in the second and third period, out-shooting the Preds 24 to 23, including Dale Weise’s first of the season at 9:14 of the third period.
The Predators won’t have a chance to stew over this game, as they are back in action tonight against the Detroit Red Wings. It will be Nashville’s second meeting with Detroit this year, their previous meeting happening just this week with a dramatic 4-3 Preds’ win thanks to Shea Weber’s heroics in OT.

Canuck’s defenseman Kevin Bieksa left midway through the game and did not return. No indication on what happened to him.
The Predators have now killed off 21 straight penalties at home.
On a not so positive note, the Predators were shutout for the fourth time this season and the second time in seven games.
The Red Wings are on a five game losing streak and are 3-7 in their last 10.
