Your beloved OTF is up for a "Toast of Music City" award!

If you didn't know, every year the Tennessean holds a "Toast of Music City" reader's choice awards competition. Local Nashvillians have the opportunity to hoist their favorite bar, hot chicken joint, or golf course above all the rest by voting for them in an online poll. It's a coveted prize among Nashville-based businesses.

Every day OTF strives to provide you with local hockey news, analysis, updates, commentary, and other amusements. Here is your chance to give us a little fist-bump in return.

We are proud of everything we publish here, but we've compiled a list of what we think has been some of our best work; enjoy:

All-Star Game Coverage: Morning Interviews, Preds All-Stars, Food Break-down, Skills Competition and All-Star Gameprimers, some guy named Shea did something, All-Star Game recap... no one in Nashville provided more coverage of All-Star Weekend. We even interviewed the chef, and asked John Scott questions in the postgame.

When it came time for Nashville to trade it's adopted son Seth Jones for the elusive #1 center, we were on that too. In fact, we saw it coming.

No one likes talking about the bad stuff, especially with a player as beloved as Pekka Rinne. But we did, and weren't shy about it.

We're came up with our share of nicknames over the years (Prince Filip, Heel James Neal, among others). But in our never-ending quest to provide you with the best coverage of Predators hockey, we dipped into the realm of Nordic folktales.

And when it comes to real analysis, we got that too. Alex (yeah, that guy) spent a lot of time going through power play data, and single-handedly justified staying away from Scott Hartnell at the trade deadline.

Bryant Fair was a rockstar again when it came to draft coverage. And he had some pretty glowing things to say about Dante Fabbro before he was even picked.

And when Nashville decided to finally fire the silver bullet and trade Shea Weber, we brought you wall-to-wall coverage of that too.

And for some of our deep album cuts, enjoy:

And to top it off, the hockey team was pretty good.

We had a pretty good year. We increased our audience (again), increased our staff, and broke down a few more barriers. More content is on it's way this year, but 2015-16 was a banner year for OnTheForecheck. And a great deal of thanks goes to our loyal audience.
