David Poile announced today that Ryan Ellis will be out for the first three months of the 2017-2018 season, returning sometime after the new year. We had been aware of his knee surgery early in the summer, but this is the first time the organization has addressed it and set a timetable.

Unfortunately, Ellis is not the only one currently sidelined.

We’ll have more analysis of the situation in the weeks leading up to opening night, but the lineup is certainly a lot more of a mystery now than we had previously considered.
