The Nashville Predators‘ offense drought continued tonight in Detroit, as the Predators lost 4-0. After being shut out by the Vancouver Canucks last night, the Preds just couldn’t find the back of the net again while Detroit jumped out to an early lead and Nashville never threatened a comeback.
The loss drops Nashville to 8-6-5, and they have been shut out five times, the most in the NHL. They stand 30th in the league in scoring, at 1.95 goals per game.
On the injury front, Hal Gill left the game with a lower body injury and did not return.

Random Observations
I didn’t even have to sit through this game, since I’m visiting family this weekend. Instead, we enjoyed a screening of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 with the kids. Judging from what I saw on Twitter, it looks like I had the more entertaining evening!
I do have one question for you, however – if you were thrilled to see Pekka Rinne pitch two shutouts in a row recently, and were ready to proclaim him one of the best goalies in the game, then how do we view a bunch of skaters who are 30th in the league in scoring and have just been shut out twice in a row?
