Nashville Predators News

Predators activate P.K. Subban, Viktor Arvidsson from injured reserve – Sportsnet.ca
Maybe you live under a rock and hadn’t heard this yet, but P.K. Subban and Viktor Arvidsson made their returns from the injured reserve list. Although it didn’t translate into a win (or goals) it was nice to see them back.

Dallas Stars 2, Nashville Predators 0: Holiday Hangover – On the Forecheck
Miss the game last night? Don’t bother watching it on your DVR, CBrooks has your recap right here! (Seriously, don’t bother watching on your DVR.)

Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews among captains for NHL All-Star Game – Sportsnet.ca

Flames Takeaways: Gaudreau’s painful hat trick could prove costly – Sportsnet.ca

Penguins lock up Jake Guentzel with five-year, $30M extension – ProHockeyTalk
Seems like a bit much for Jake Guentzel. My guess is they wanted to avoid arbitration this summer and moved up a little more so they knew what they would have to work with capwise.

Lightning’s Steven Stamkos breaks down wild win over Flyers | NBC Sports
Yes, depth, certainly not Nikita Kucherov (or Stamkos himself).

KHL team, CSKA Moscow appears to be preparing for a potential NHL lockout
Interesting take and certainly something I hadn’t considered, but CSKA Moscow is already (and has always been) a powerhouse. It seems like they’re just making smart moves for a potential future opportunity.

Year in Review: Top 10 NHL stories of 2018 – TheHockeyNews
None of these mention the Predators, but one of them does mention firing coaches. As of last night, Preds twitter was calling for Coach McCarthy’s head. What say you?
