Friday’s Dump & Chase: Matt Duchene to Nashville for…

That’s right! Matt Duchene is in Nashville RIGHT NOW for a sweet birthday celebration with some of his fellow Columbus Blue Jackets buddies. They’ve already hit FGL House…is there a pedal tavern in his future?

Kealty Impressed with Progression of Tolvanen, Additional Preds Prospects | NHL.com
These are all names we’ve heard and seen in Nashville. I suppose a lot of what happens for these four guys depends on what happens tradewise with GM David Poile this summer. I’d like to see Carrier on the third pair. I’d think Richard could slot in on the middle six if needed. Perhaps Eeli Tolvanen could stay in the AHL another year and make the move when he’s ready for top-six minutes?

Podkolzin plummets in TSN Hockey’s Mock Draft 3.0 | TSN.ca
Most of what I know about potential draftees is what I learn from On the Future. I’m not sure who Brayden Tracey is, but I see Moritz Seider is still available in this version of TSN’s mock draft.

Nashville Predators Prospects Report: April | On the Forecheck
If you, like me, very closely follow the career trajectory of Adam Smith, you’ll be unsure of how to feel after this one. Zuccarello, Lindell in Stars’ long-term plans | NHL.com
I’m not surprised that the Dallas Stars would want to lock Mats Zuccarello up long term. However, if they want to sign Esa Lindell, they’ll face stiff competition from the Finnish Olympic Diving Team.

NHL’s knee-jerk reaction to a missed offside in a nothing game led to the call that may have cost the Avs their season | TheHockeyNews
So, YEAH COLORADO AVALANCHE, YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND THANK YOURSELVES FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN GAME 7!

John Tavares sent home after suffering injury at world championships
The speculation on this injury to Tavares is that it may be a little more severe and require surgery. Certainly not ideal, but the summer ahead is a long one.

Carolina Hurricanes – Boston Bruins – May 9th, 2019 | NHL.com
In a brutal display of the difference an effective power play can make, the Boston Bruins took the series lead last night as the Carolina Hurricanes fell 5-2. Dear Carolina, you are the only hope I have left.
