We have surprising news reported by John Glennon today, that Preds captain Jason Arnott will return to the lineup for tonight’s critical game:
“I skated hard the last couple of days and felt pretty good,’’ Arnott said. “I wanted to see how I felt this morning after the plane ride and after skating (Friday). I felt pretty good. I said I’d give it a whirl this morning and it felt okay, so I’m going to try tonight.’’
The urgency of the situation – the Preds are one point out of eighth place with four games remaining – played a part in Arnott’s decision to return as well.
“If we’d have won (Friday), it woud have been a little different,’’ Arnott said. “But under the circumstances and the way I feel, I want to try to come back and help.’’
This is a huge boost, Preds fans. If you’re going to the game tonight, get ready to bring the noise!
